The datails of mobility

THE DETAILS OF ERASMUS MOBILITY

  1. Full-time students and part-time bachelor and master students can take part in the recruitment process.
  2. Erasmus departures are possible only to those universities with which the faculty/department has institutional agreements for 2024/2025. The list of KA131 agreements involved in the upcoming recruitment is available on the website: https://ug.edu.pl/wspolpraca/wymiana-akademicka/erasmus-2021-2027-0
  3. Students who can not take part in recruitment for outgoing study mobility:
  • students of the 2nd year of second-cycle (master) studies, students of the 5th year of uniform master’s studies,
  • students of the last year of  third-cycle studies and doctoral students of the last year of Doctoral Schools
  • students who already used their “mobility capital” for study / traineeship mobility in the previous years of studies. The capital is 12 months for 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycle of studies (each) and 24 months for  long-cycle studies (e.g. 5-year master’s studies).
  1. Students whose mobility would take place in the last year of first-, second- or third-cycle studies, in the last year of long-cycle (e.g. uniform master’s studies) or doctoral students of the last year of Doctoral Schools may only take part in outgoing mobility only in the winter semester of the last year. Therefore, they can not apply for a mobility in the summer semester or for a whole – year mobility. This rule applies to students of all UG Faculties. This group of students may, in exceptional cases, apply for an extension of mobility for the summer semester, if this possibility is in accordance with the conditions stated by the home Faculty / home Institute. Students must be informed, already during the recruitment process, if carrying out the mobility in the last year of studies, they will still be allowed to apply for extending their mobility (which was planned only for winter semester).
  2. Students of the last year of first-cycle studies may take part in recruitment process (conditional recruitment) but taking part in mobility during the first year of the second-cycle studies is possible only in the summer semester. This rule applies to students of all UG Faculties.
  3. All qualified students are required to complete a study program adequate for their field of study / specialization and approved in the Learning Agreement/OLA of min. 30 ECTS credits / semester. EXCEPTION: The number of ECTS credits in the LA/OLA may be reduced by the number of credits scheduled in the course of study for the undergraduate/master's seminar, but the reduction may not exceed 10 ECTS credits. The above exception applies to students for whom the obligation to implement the seminar results from the course of study and falls in the semester of mobility.

ATTENTION! Changes in the program accepted by the Coordinators, sometimes occurring in the first month of the student's study, may not result in the approval of the program of less than 30 ECTS / semester or 20ECTS/semester in the case of realization of a bachelor's/master's seminar at the home university.

  1. Additional financial support for students in a difficult financial situation: Students in a difficult financial situation going to study in program countries may receive for each month of the originally approved stay an additional social support amounting to  250 €. A student may receive additional social support for the mobility only on condition that in the moment in which the recruitment takes place, the student has a valid decision on granting him or her benefits from the Fund of Material Aid for Students and PhD Students of the University of Gdańsk. A copy of the certificate confirming this fact must be attached to the protocol. In the case of applying for a social scholarship during the recruitment process, the student has the option of attaching to the Scholarship Recipient Form a statement that the scholarship documentation has been submitted to the UG Scholarship Office. Upon receipt of the scholarship decision, the student is required, no later than March 31, 2024, to submit a copy of the decision to SOP E+.

Note: Lack of a copy of the decision on granting a social benefit next to the candidate's form (in case she or he indicated in the Application Form that he or she  "receives a social grant") will automatically qualify him / her as a scholarship holder without supplement. Therefore, please pay special attention to the completeness of the attachments.

9. Students with disabilities going to study for Erasmus programme can receive for each month of the initially accepted stay additional support corresponding to the amount of 250 €./month. The first condition to receive the support is to declare having a disability certificate. The declaration is made by ticking the appropriate box in the Scholarship Holder Form at the recruitment stage.

Additional arrangements of the Faculty Coordinator:

The Faculty Recruitment Committee creates a ranking of students applying for a trip under the Erasmus + program on the basis of:

  1. the grade average rounded to two decimal places:
  • from the previous academic year, i.e. 2022/2023, for current second and third year first-cycle students;
  • from the winter semester of the 2023/2024 academic year, for current first-year students of first-cycle studies and first-year students of second-cycle studies;
  1. knowledge of a foreign language confirmed by the certificate(s) and the result of an interview in English (maximum 0.5 points);
  2. confirmation of passing two subjects in English taught at the Faculty (+0.05 points for a subject, not more than 0.1 points);
  3. student's documented activity in student organizations and / or activity in work for the Faculty (possibility to enter in the justification of the application) (maximum + 0.05 points);
  4. justification of the application (maximum + 0.05 points).

The Commission creates a ranking of qualified students on the basis of the sum of points and then allocates places for mobility as far as places are available in the partner universities, according to the order of indications by the Student.

A student may be added to the reserve list if:

  1. The student does not meet the Erasmus mobility conditions, but can fill in the gaps within the time limit set by the Commission. After fulfilling the conditions, the student is eligible for an Erasmus mobility as long as there are places available and goes to the ranking list.
  2. The student meets the conditions of the regulations, but has not qualified for an Erasmus mobility to the selected university due to the insufficient number of points and does not want to go to another university. A student entered on the reserve list may be qualified for an Erasmus mobility to a selected university if another student qualified for the exchange resigns from his/her mobility to the given university before the protocol is delivered to the Erasmus Foreign Exchange Office.
