Management

The Master’s programme in Management at the Faculty of Management, University of Gdańsk develops advanced managerial and analytical competencies. It is designed for students who want to create and commercialise products, services and processes that are sustainable by design.

The curriculum combines strategic and innovation management, entrepreneurship, organisation and management, human capital management, business ethics, and business and sustainability. Students develop evidence-based decision-making skills through quantitative and qualitative research methods, as well as financial expertise in corporate finance, managerial accounting, investment decision-making and capital investment planning.

The programme also prepares students to identify market trends, risks and opportunities in a global environment and to manage projects, processes and organisations effectively.

PROGRAMME HIGHLIGHTS
· Sustainability by design – the programme prepares students to develop and commercialise products, services and processes that protect the environment and use resources efficiently.
· Strategic and innovation management – a strong emphasis on strategic and innovation management prepares students to operate effectively in dynamic and rapidly changing markets.
· Financial and investment decision-making – corporate finance, managerial accounting, investment decision-making and capital investment planning strengthen students’ financial and managerial competencies.
· Modern marketing competencies – strategic and digital marketing support market-driven growth, product development and commercialisation.
· Leadership and people management – leadership and communication skills are combined with human capital management and organisational behaviour.
· Research and analytical skills – quantitative and qualitative research methods enable students to make evidence-based managerial decisions.
· Practical experience – a structured Master’s seminar pathway and a 200-hour internship, worth 8 ECTS credits, support applied learning, professional development and the preparation of a practice-oriented Master’s thesis.

Graduates may pursue careers in the private, public and non-profit sectors, particularly in organisations focused on sustainability and responsible business. The programme also supports entrepreneurship and prepares students to work on international projects.
