Erasmus+ Traineeships

The Faculty of Management welcomes students and recent graduates from partner and other foreign universities who wish to complete an Erasmus+ traineeship with us.
Recent graduates may participate in an Erasmus+ traineeship provided that they were selected for the mobility by their home university before graduation and that the traineeship is completed within the period specified by the Erasmus+ programme.
Finding an academic supervisor
Before submitting any documents, applicants must identify and contact an academic staff member at the Faculty of Management who is willing to act as their academic supervisor.
The supervisor’s area of expertise should be related to the proposed traineeship. The scope, programme, duration and expected outcomes of the traineeship must be agreed with the supervisor in advance.
Please note that the Faculty does not assign academic supervisors to applicants. Students and recent graduates are responsible for contacting a suitable member of staff and obtaining their preliminary approval.
How to apply
Once an academic supervisor has agreed to supervise the traineeship, the applicant should prepare:
•    a current CV;
•    a draft Learning Agreement for Traineeships;
•    a proposed traineeship programme, prepared in consultation with the academic supervisor;
•    information about the planned dates and duration of the traineeship;
•    confirmation from the home university that the traineeship is eligible for Erasmus+ funding, if applicable.
Once the traineeship programme and supervision arrangements have been approved, the necessary acceptance documents can be prepared in cooperation with the applicant and their home university.
Required documents
Before arrival, the trainee should provide:
•    a CV;
•    a Learning Agreement for Traineeships, signed by the trainee, the home university and the University of Gdańsk;
•    a traineeship programme, agreed with the academic supervisor;
•    any additional documents required by the home university, such as an Acceptance Letter.
Upon arrival, the trainee may receive a Confirmation of Arrival, if required by the home university.
After completing the traineeship, the Faculty will issue a Confirmation of Traineeship Period once the academic supervisor has confirmed that the tasks specified in the Learning Agreement have been satisfactorily completed.
Important information
Incoming trainees are registered in the University of Gdańsk’s mobility system. However, completing a traineeship does not grant student status at the University of Gdańsk. Trainees are therefore not eligible for a Polish student ID card or the student discounts associated with it.
We warmly invite students and recent graduates who wish to gain international experience and develop their professional and academic skills to apply for a traineeship at the Faculty of Management.
