How Would the Ideal App for WZR Students and Lecturers Look?
During the winter semester, students of the Marketing of Value and Experiences specialization track faced a challenging task as part of their coursework under the guidance of Zuzanna Minga from the Department of Marketing. Their mission? To design prototype applications for Faculty that address the real needs of students and lecturers.

As part of their work, students:
🔹 Conducted a benchmarking analysis of university apps in Poland and worldwide.
🔹 Examined current communication systems and channels within the Faculty.
🔹 Carried out research among students and faculty members.
🔹 Identified a key problem: too many scattered tools with no integration, along with a lack of essential functionalities.
🔹 Applied Design Thinking methods learned during the course, including:
✅ Business Model Canvas
✅ Customer Journey Map
✅ Analysis of current trends in university applications
✅ Persona building to represent target user groups
✅ The "5 Why" method, developed by Sakichi Toyoda and refined at Toyota, allowing for an in-depth problem analysis by repeatedly asking “why?” five times.
The results? Innovative app prototypes that:
✅ Integrate all essential functions in one place, eliminating the need to log into multiple systems.
✅ Offer a communication platform for students, lecturers, and the student affairs office.
✅ Support English-language switching, catering to international programs.
✅ Provide a dedicated space for learning materials and coursework submissions.
…and many more exciting features!
-The results of their work will be showcased after the winter break. A poster exhibition presenting the app concepts will be displayed in the main hall of the Faculty of Management at the University of Gdańsk. I am extremely proud of my students' creativity and dedication! – said Zuzanna Minga.
