Project description and tasks

Project objective:

The objective of the project is to implement innovative teaching methods in subjects such as mathematics, statistics, econometrics and operational research through the exchange of experiences with the academic and teaching staff of partner institutions.

Planned activities:

  1. Analysis of teaching methods used in science subjects such as mathematics, statistics, econometrics and operations research in partner countries in Europe.
  2. Short-term teaching placements for academic teachers at universities forming the project consortium.
  3. Development of a document entitled ‘Instructions for the implementation of innovative teaching methods in the university environment’, which will be used by academic teachers.
  4. Seminars with project partners on teaching methods used, exchange of experiences, analysis of student results achieved using different teaching methods.
  5. Implementation of innovative teaching methods and their verification, e.g. through student results and the exchange of experiences between academic teachers.
  6. Modification of the document ‘Instructions for the implementation of innovative teaching methods in the university environment’ to include the teaching experiences of the project consortium partners (exchange of experiences).
  7. Preparation and dissemination of teaching materials such as case studies, PPT presentations, recommended software, instructions and recommendations.
  8. Dissemination of experience – participation in conferences not related to the project.

Expected results of the project:

  1. Reports based on the analysis of modern teaching methods used in science subjects in partner countries in Europe.
  2. Conference and seminar materials.
  3. Instructions on innovative teaching methods and teaching materials (instructions for teachers; ways of implementing innovative teaching methods and other pedagogical approaches).
  4. Innovative teaching materials: case studies, PPT presentations, recommended teaching methods, recommended software.
  5. Seminar discussing the conclusions of the project.
  6. Dissemination of conclusions and good practices at conferences not related to the project.
