Collaboration with Business: The First Meeting of the Faculty of Management Expert Council

On March 7, 2025, the Faculty of Management at the University of Gdańsk hosted the inaugural meeting of the Expert Council. This historic moment marks the beginning of a new chapter in the integration of academia and business practice.

"Today's ceremony is an important moment for our Faculty. The establishment of the Expert Council opens a new chapter in bridging science and business, allowing us to strengthen our collaboration with representatives from various economic sectors," said prof. Angelika Kędzierska-Szczepaniak, Dean of the Faculty of Management.

During the event, Dean Angelika Kędzierska-Szczepaniak, presented appointments to the Expert Council, which consists of distinguished representatives from business, public administration, and economic organizations:

  • Joanna Bogdziewicz-Wróblewska – Director of the Development Strategy Department, City of Sopot
  • Bartosz Ciepluch – Networking and Edge Vice President, General Manager, Intel
  • Tomasz Grybek – Management Board Representative for Quality and Food Safety, PAOP Sp. z o.o.
  • Maciej Kisała – Director of the Social Policy Department, City of Sopot
  • Maciej Kisiel – President of the Management Board, Chłodnia Gdańsk Sp. z o.o.
  • Adam Lewandowski – President of the Management Board, STBU Insurance Brokers Sp. z o.o.
  • Agnieszka Majewska – SME Ombudsman
  • Krzysztof Przybył – President of the Management Board, Polish Promotional Emblem Foundation "Teraz Polska"
  • Agnieszka Rodak – President, Rumia Invest

The Expert Council will play an active role in shaping the Faculty’s educational offerings, ensuring alignment with the rapidly evolving job market and employer expectations. The collaboration will include:

  • Organizing internships and placements for students
  • Guest lectures and classes conducted by industry experts
  • Fieldwork and practical training in companies
  • Developing curricula tailored to market needs
  • Implementing joint research and development projects
