Tax, Career, and Inspiration – An Open Lecture by an Expert from the Ministry of Finance at the Faculty of Management

On January 21, 2025, the Faculty of Management at the University of Gdańsk hosted a remarkable open lecture organized by Aleksandra Pesta, a student of Finance and Accounting, Ambassador of the Ministry of Finance, and the "Equity and Profit" Finance and Insurance Scientific Circle. The event was supervised by the Circle’s advisor, Piotr Pisarewicz, Ph.D. from the Department of Banking and Finance.

The lecture on the tax on certain financial institutions was delivered by Joanna Kępińska, a specialist in the Withholding Tax and Financial Sector Taxation Team at the Ministry of Finance.

The event attracted numerous students and staff from the Faculty of Management. A special highlight for the organizers was the attendance of the Dean of the Faculty of Management, prof. Angelika Kędzierska-Szczepaniak.

During the event, Aleksandra Pesta presented the Ministry of Finance’s Career Accelerator program, which offers internships, competitions for students, and other opportunities for professional development. Participants also had the chance to receive dedicated brochures and gadgets provided by the Ministry of Finance.
