Invitation to a lecture by Prof. Linger, ‘Academic Publishing: Climbing Everest’, 10 June 2026, 1.30 pm

From 29 May to 12 June 2026, the Faculty of Management is hosting Prof. Henry Linger from Monash University in Australia, who has come at the invitation of the Vice-Dean for Research, Dr Bartosz Marcinkowski, Professor at the University of Gdańsk, as part of the 6th edition of the ‘Visiting Professors at the University of Gdańsk’ programme. The purpose of his visit to our Faculty is academic collaboration and the organisation of workshops for PhD students on research ethics. Prof. Linger conducts research in knowledge-based work, knowledge management, organisational learning, and the design of ICT systems that support these areas. He has extensive experience as Deputy Director of the Centre for Organisational and Social Informatics (COSI) and the Knowledge Management Research Programme (KMRP) at Monash University's Faculty of Information Technology. He has completed over a dozen externally funded projects.

On 10 June 2026, from 1.30 pm to 3.00 pm in the Faculty Council Room B-22, Prof. Henry Linger will deliver a lecture on publishing in prestigious academic journals entitled Academic Publishing: Climbing Everest.
