It is a programme organised by HdBA – University of Applied Labour Studies in Mannheim (Hochschule der Bundesagentur für Arbeit, Germany), in partnership with the University of Split (Croatia) and the University of Gdańsk (Faculty of Management).
The Blended Intensive Programme (BIP), as an integrated and hybrid form of education, offers a unique opportunity for students interested in the contemporary labour market, the concept of new leadership in the era of digital transformation, the evolving role of human resource management, work psychology, intercultural communication, and building relationships in a multigenerational environment.
The programme combines theoretical and practical learning in a hybrid format—online sessions and on-site classes—enabling participants to acquire knowledge and skills highly valued in today’s labour market.
The programme covers the following topics:
- Human capital management and fostering integration and motivation in hybrid work teams
- Intercultural communication and diversity management in the era of digitally mediated social interactions
- The use of AI in career planning
- Ethical and philosophical aspects of working with AI
- Building mental resilience and managing occupational stress
- Leadership in the era of virtualisation and digitalisation of work
- Classes will be delivered by academic staff from universities in Mannheim, Split, and Gdańsk
- The group will consist of 20 students from three countries (Germany, Croatia, and Poland)
BIP Programme Schedule:
- Online sessions: May 5–15, 2026
- On-site sessions in Germany: June 13–17, 2026
- Classes will take place at HdBA – University of Applied Labour Studies, Seckenheimer Landstr. 16, Mannheim, Germany
- UG student group coordinators: dr hab. Tomasz Kawka, prof. UG, and dr Agata Borowska-Pietrzak from the Department of Organisational Behaviour, Faculty of Management
- Lectures (online and on-site) and workshops (in small groups) focusing on selected topics according to the schedule
- Study visit to a company
- Cultural programme including: sightseeing in the university town of Heidelberg, a Rhine river cruise, art gallery visit, and dinner (all activities covered by HdBA)
- A detailed schedule of online and on-site sessions will be provided at the end of April 2026

A detailed time for the online interview (15 minutes, including the conversation in English) will be assigned via reply email on April 8, 2026, by 9:00 AM for each candidate.
The decision on the acceptance of students, along with the waiting list for the BIP programme, will be announced on April 10, 2026, at 9:00 AM.
Upon successful qualification, the student is required to submit the following application documents to the commission within 3 days of the decision at the office of the Vice-Dean for Internationalisation and Development, Faculty of Management:
- Completed application form (Erasmus Learning Agreement) – link at the bottom of the page
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Motivation letter in English
- Copy of an identity document (e.g., ID card or passport)
- Submit the completed Registration Form (HdBA) by April 14, 2026 to hochschule.international-career-service@arbeitsagentur.de
